This green screen test was created using a single fixed position light at a ninety-degree angle. The chroma key tool in Premiere helped to mask the important area out but when this function is used for the final submission, I will tweak the keying values to ensure detail isn’t lost on the news presenter character as my hair disappeared through the usage of the screen.
I plan to blank out the windows with brown paper to ensure no light bleeds from behind from the sun or street lights and ensures an even key. This will be aided by a second light in a different position to light the screen more evenly from the side and ensure there is a lack of shadows on the screen. “Each light should be the same distance away and at the same angle. This is the best way to ensure an even lighting across. You’ll notice in these two diagrams that Setup #1 (left) will cast shadows from the subject, while Setup #2 (right) keeps the shadows outside the camera’s field of view.”
